The project is a book trailer which summarises the novel's primary events. It is intended to stand as its own entity, as well as a way to promote the book of the same name.
In post-production, it was discovered that there were significant issues with the production audio. Specifically, certain takes were not recorded (instead, the time between takes was inadvertently recorded), and the boom mic often did not sufficiently capture the dialogue. Background noise was too significant in other scenes, as well. This prevented the footage from being edited into a cohesive short movie. However, in April 2019, a five-minute reel of footage was released online as a book trailer, denoting the production's eventual endpoint.
