When Doug Bradley, the original Pinhead, was asked in an interview what his advice would be to Paul T. Taylor who plays Pinhead in Hellraiser: Judgment (2018), he sarcastically answered: "According to Gary (Gary J. Tunnicliffe, the director of the movie), Mr. Taylor has the screen presence of Peter Cushing and Ralph Fiennes, so he won't need any help from me, will he?"
(at around 27 mins) Though given third billing in the opening credits, Heather Langenkamp is only on screen in one scene, for less than 45 seconds, and is hardly recognizable in aging makeup.
The producers (at Gary J. Tunnicliffe's request) contacted Damon Carney's wife and secretly obtained stories and intense moments from his past that were then (without his prior knowledge) used during the scene when he is 'Audited' - at the end of the (lengthy and harrowing) take Carney yelled out 'What the fuck just happened?!...I was genuinely freaked out!'
55 Ludovico Street is the same address from Hellraiser (1987), which is also a reference to A Clockwork Orange (1971) encompassing both the Ludovico Technique as well as Alex's prison number.
The makeup for The Auditor was originally a concept pitch for a re-imagined Pinhead look. The cosmetics were shown to the studio when Hellraiser was originally optioning a full reboot. When a direct sequel was decided instead, the makeup team kept the designs, and recycled them into the Auditor character.
