This film is the full-length version of a semester project for the Advanced Production workshop for a Cinema Arts degree from Los Angeles Valley College. Several cast and crew members are classmates of writer-director Christine Beatty. Part of it was shot on and near the campus.
Several cast members were cast from a TV pilot named "Myrna." Christine Beatty was an executive producer on the pilot.
Children of the Night is a real youth shelter for teenagers under 18 rescued from prostitution. Christine Beatty used to volunteer at the shelter.
Several members who worked on the project, are survivors of childhood molestation. They were eager to work on this film, partly for that reason.
