The Dark Resurgence: A Star Wars Story

I was very surprised to see how well this film turned out! The film tells a short yet captivating story and had me entertained the entire time. The quality of the video looks amazing considering its a low budget fan film and on top of that, the sound is phenomenal including all of the sound effects. This film definitely stands apart from all the other Star Wars fan films out there that I have seen.

I've seen a couple fan films posted on Youtube set in the Star Wars Universe, and I've come away from them mildly entertained. This film stands out from the rest however. The production quality, effects, and the writing well surpass any other fan films out there to create a riveting, intense story in the span of only about 10 minutes. The choreography of the fight sequences and the wardrobe is of the same caliber of the original films. Certainly the most memorable Star Wars fan film I've ever seen.

If it comes up on Youtube recommendations, have a look at it. This isn't vintage Star Wars, but for a fan film it's very well done. The dialogue is choppy (but take a moment to remember George) and the acting a bit home-grown (but take a moment to remember Hayden). It's obvious, but it oozes with passion.

If I scored it as a fan-film, maybe 8 out of 10. If I scored it as a professional Hollywood go, maybe 2. I split the difference.

I am personally familiar with the creator of 'The Dark Resurgence: A Star Wars Story' and I have witnessed the unfaltering commitment, sacrifice, and at times struggle that went in to the creation of this project, and I am proud and amazed at the outcome. Each facet of this project is crafted in a way that captivates the viewer and leaves you wanting more. Congratulations on an excellent production!

Just your basic fan film that has been done many times before. Sub par acting, poor effects and a fast and lose approach to the source material, makes it unrememberable.

Basically a bunch of Cosplayers with a camera and a budget, who watched The force awakens too much.
