Trivia

Billion Dollar Wreck

Edit
In the United Kingdom, the episode order was slightly altered: episode seven, The Mystery Deepens, was instead aired last, being used as a recap episode of the crew's progress so far, and illuminating more about the story of the wreck and the Bayerles.
This is Martin Bayerle' second go at the RMS Republic, and son Grant's first true pass. Martin's first major expedition to the wreck was a 1980's effort not long after he discovered the vessel.
Martin Bayerle's first attempt at recovering the ship's treasure and solving it's mysteries, in the 1980's, ended in heartbreak after his advisors produced the ship's plans and blueprints Bayerle realized they were searching the wrong areas.
Typical dives to the RMS Republic last around 40 minutes provided there are no technical problems, examples of which can be breathing issues, communication problems, and unusually powerful underwater tides. Silt disruption can also be problematic, as it causes visibility issues both to the diver, and the crew topside which helps guide the effort by employment of a suit mounted camera (and others in the viscinty mounted to equipment) and radio communications.
Divers use a tether system through which a gas cocktail called tri mix is delivered, making for safer, less narcotic breathing conditions than straight oxygen and increasing the depth of a safe dive. Oxygen, nitrogem, and helium comprises the tri mix which counters the tremendous pressures of such depths (nearly 300 feet), but the effects of Helium on the human voice are still observed during dive-topside radio communications.
