Gary Lind performed his climactic confession in one take. A couple of backups were shot just in case but ultimately the very first take was used. Douglas Fender was so impressed by the performance that he decided that he was going to keep the one shot, never cutting away during the monologue as to show the whole performance. This was also beneficial to the tight filming day as it prevented the need for other angles to be shot of the scene.
