Ben Urich's use of playing cards pinned to a board is referenced by the character of Detective Brigid O'Reilly on Cloak & Dagger (2018) who does the same thing and says she learned it from a reporter. O'Reilly was transferred to New Orleans from New York and also makes a reference to her friend Misty Knight from If It Ain't Rough, It Ain't Right (2018) reciprocating a reference made on that series when Misty said that O'Reilly was transferred to New Orleans. Cloak & Dagger (2018) also makes a reference to the Rands from Iron Fist (2017).
