The film Received lots of criticism for its blatant copying of the 1980 Disaster Parody "Airplane" from numerous jokes and scenes and even the poster being plagiarised without any credit given and being treated like it's fresh material.

During the production of the film, Casey Neistat vlogged a portion of the filming process for his YouTube channel. The vlogs name is "NEVER WEAR THIS TO AN AIRPORT" published April 30th, 2016, and includes an unofficial tour of some set features, as well as other features.
