Great Aussie Indie film

A great Australian Indie film that is well worth the watch. I think if the films "Two Hands" and "Clerks" had a baby, this would be it 🤷‍♀️ Added bonus points for the addition of some great music thrown in there too.

Add it to your watch list, you won't regret it!

Splendid

This was fun, a great little film and was a bloody enjoyable watch. Great soundtrack too. I hope Nightshift 2 is on the cards.

Great fun comedy

An original Australian comedy that has lots of laughs and some great new talent.

Reminds me of some early 2000s late 90's Aussie conedies in its style.

Fun film well worth your time.

Enjoyable to the max Australian movie

This was really enjoyable, a mix of dark and light humour, with the main protagonists finding themselves in an escalating series of unforseen events.

Nice to have new local talent both in front and behind the camera.

Definitely worth watching. Enjoy !!

Fun Indie Dark Comedy has it all

This Australian Indie is a very clever, funny, and often heartfelt "heist" story. The heist is a joke, as our criminal brothers attempt to hold up a gas station convenience store fails miserably and hysterically. Lots of twists, including a totally-earned false ending, makes for a unique and entertaining ride.

A fun, and sometimes funny, ride

A nice watch. Things go wrong and the chaos and humor that ensues. Nicely done.

Really good!

This is a very fun new Australian comedy/drama, and a really good one. It's about a hold-up gone very wrong. And the more it goes wrong, the more enjoyable the movie is. Perfect for my weekend mood. Really well done and very entertaining!

Aussie and Indie go hand in hand

What a great film. Loved the humor! Loved the music! Loved recognizing some of the locations. The Clerks T stood out for me. I felt Friday vibes, Kevin Smith vibes, definitely be watching again. Fingers crossed for a number 2! Watch it, totally worth it!

Loved it!

This film was so much fun to watch. My family and I enjoyed it from beginning to end (which is very rare). We very much enjoyed the story and acting. The actors all did such a good job!! Kudos to Director Joey Menzel. He did a good job keeping things moving along at a nice pace. So for me and my family... a big Thumbs up!

Not a bad watch

Good little Aussie movie. Worth a crack.

It's obviously a low budget one but not a bad effort all around.

Slow to start but gets going ok.

I thought this movie was good but little slow to start... Funny most of the time, if you don't like swearing then don't watch... there is allot!

I actually want to give it 7.5 stars.

Funny and heartfelt

Because it's an Aussie film, the comedy is different than a lot of American flicks. But it's got its amusing parts, and the actors are pretty good. Definitely has some Clerks vibes to it, and one of the youngsters is wearing a Clerks shirt in case the viewer doesn't quite pick up on it.

The plot is a pretty straightforward "what else can go wrong", but it's interspersed with these flashbacks revealing how the guys got to where they are now. Because the two timelines are mixed, I actually thought it kept the pacing just right to draw me along at the right speed. And I actually fell for the twist, so the writer/director got an extra large laugh out of me for that.

What really sold me was the honesty and realism of their loss. Having lost my own mom when I was young, I know that it does you for a loop, and the opening narration is spot on for how it feels. Yes, this is a comedy in that a silly situation resolves itself all perfectly with no real repercussions, but I think the opening and closing narrations are the REAL story. Everything else is just a fun ride on the way to that. I gave an extra star for the hidden emotions and truth.

Aussie old school

If you're into old school Aussie cinema then you should probably check this out. I haven't seen this kind of thing from down-under for quite some time. No furrowed brows starring wistfully into the distance here folks, just some good old-fashioned potty-mouthed larrikinism. A decent soundtrack too.
