T.E.L.L. stands for time, elevation, latitude, and longitude. It is the precise time and location of death used by the director, as well as historical records and social media, to determine who will become a host for the travelers.
The names of the horses mentioned by Philip are all gun names from video game Destiny. Patience and Time, The Last Word, Touch of Malice, The Fourth Horsemen are exotic guns, Down and Doubt is a legendary hand cannon. Season 2 also features Outbreak Prime and Gjallerhorn as the names of race dogs.
