Writers Scalia and Tramontin are both professional sportscasters.
Also starring in "The Legacy Run" is Kriv, a Guinea Pig. Kriv is a personal belonging of the authors and has been treated with the highest care during the shooting.
Curiously, not a single scene of "The Legacy Run" has been shot in Italy.
Many scenes have been shot in the Rijeka-Opatija Croatian region, an area Tramontin feels "Magnetically mesmerized by" since his early childhood. He visits those places several times a year, sometimes in secret, and decently speaks the local language.
There seems to be an unrevealed mystery behind the mutual affection between the rugbyman and the "Kvarner" region, it has been long investigated and discussed by local media throughout the years, it has been partly revealed in Daniela Scalia's book "In onda con 3 dita" but some aspects remain obscure.
