Seeing the inside of my eye lids

Going into this movie, I expected something more akin to the film 'The Eye' due to the similar sounding plot. So was looking forward to a low budget horror flick. However what I got was a low budget romance film with some mild horror and sci-fi moments tacked on.

The movie itself wasn't too bad, it had a vision (no pun intended) and managed to successfully fulfill that despite its low budget. The world seemed realistic and believable right up until the end. Taylor Girard also did a good job of playing the classic homeless man cursed after being struck by lighting role that we've all seen before in other films and grown to love!

My main issue with the film is that it seems to sell itself as a horror film from both the plot, poster and title. The film also starts in this way with the main character seeing what was either dead people or evil schizophrenic visions. However the film then quickly turns into some sort of romance flick before attempting some sci-fi ending to explain away the entire film.

Despite the fact that some of the dialogue was often cringy and there were issues with the tone of the film, I thought it was actually a pleasant (albeit bland) low budget film with a feel good story about Will. This is the type of film you put on on a Sunday morning when you can't be bothered to get out of bed or off the sofa and just want something on in the background to zone in and out of.

Overall low score but not a bad film, just not good.

Was there a script written for this?

The writing is so bad I'm under the impression it was nothing more than an improv experiment by a group of bad actors. I gave it three stars because it was so bad it made me laugh out loud several times, which most comedies don't accomplish. The jab at the pharmacutical business that's taken at the end is pretty solid too. Over looking these itty bitty triumphs, this movie is just plain awful.

Just terrible

So much pointless story that had nothing to do with anything.

motivational, inspirational, real

Liked seeing real life scenarios like fixing laptop, homelessnes, love, becoming better, most of which reminded me to some real life problems and recent occurrences. Being attacked for no reason, experiencing symptoms, side effects, consequences, emotions...all make movie very real and challenging. So emotional. Motivated me to become better in most obvious areas like survival, religion, health... The only reason this deserves 2 stars less is that movie is negative and unexplained and bit fake appearance of weird characters. This is also nice topics like drugs, medications, maturing, nature... Cool advertisement at the end, which ironically is no different than for real life medications, our reality. Funny and romantic. Exciting skill and reactions of people. Causes curiosity a bit. Positive enough.
