La capitale du bruit (2018)

Trivia

La capitale du bruit

Edit
Stéphane Bernard who plays the part of Robert never played in front of a camera before.
Stéphane Bernard, Diane Breuil, Ruby Minard and Francis Gerardin who plays in the diner scene never met before the shooting of the scene. At the end of the shooting, Diane Breuil and Stéphane Bernard apologized to each other because of all of the mean words they yelled to each other for the scene.
The shooting lasts 2 years. The editing: 3 months.
A very short film with the same main character exists. It's called Entretien avec Robert (Interview with Robert) and it shows Robert talking about his wall of vomits (scene that ended up in the feature film). The short film was selected in many film festivals around the world: USA, France, Spain, Switzerland, India, Egypt and Romania. It won 4 prizes (2 for best performance). In India, the short film was selected in the ''documentary'' category while it was actually a mockumentary.
Director Rock Brenner said that he imagine a sequel in which Robert (Stéphane Bernard) moves to Paris. In the city, Robert would be the leader of a terrorist organisation that attacks the people who drinks and makes any noise in front of the bars at night. This will provok a civil war between the people who wants to live free day and night and the people who wants to sleep at night. At the end, Robert would end up in prison, in the same cell than someone who has Tourette's syndrome. Rock Brenner said that the third movie would show Robert escaping from prison in order to go in the McMurdo Station, in Antartica, to finally find peace. That said, not any sequel is planned.
