The Resurrection of the Christ: Part One

Edit
Mel Gibson told Raymond Arroyo that the movie includes the fall of the angels. Gibson later told Joe Rogan the films would conclude with the death of the last apostle.
In a 2018 interview with USA Today, Jim Caviezel said "I won't tell you how he's going to go about it. But I'll tell you this much, the film he's going to do is going to be the biggest film in history. It's that good." He also said, "There are things that I cannot say that will shock the audience..It's great. Stay tuned."
In 2016 Gibson talked about his plans for this film in an interview with USA TODAY: "The Resurrection. Big subject. Oh, my God..We're trying to craft this in a way that's cinematically compelling and enlightening so that it shines new light, if possible, without creating some weird thing."
In January 2018, Caviezel was in agreements with Mel Gibson to reprise his role as Jesus in the sequel.
Calling it "a vast theological experience," Gibson said that the film delves into the meaning of the resurrection by juxtaposing the central event of Jesus' rising "with the many things going on around it and in other realms." It will make connections as a way "to enlighten what that means." He implied that part of the movie would be taking place in Hell and, while talking to Raymond Arroyo, said that it also may show flashbacks depicting the fall of the Angels. The film will explore the three-day period starting on Good Friday, the day of Jesus' death, and will look at why the disciples did not recognize Jesus on the way to Emmaus.
