Roxsy Tyler's House of Horrors (2017)

Trivia

Roxsy Tyler's House of Horrors

Edit
Carmela Hayslett named her alter ego "Roxsy Tyler" after Aerosmith front-man Steven Tyler.
The characters of Roxsy Tyler, Count Chuckula, and Mr. Potent originated in "Roxsy Tyler's Carnival of Horrors" a comedic horror show that hosted horror movies and performed comedy skits during commercial breaks with vaudevillian flair.
Carmela Hayslett wears a black wig when she performs as Roxsy Tyler. During her prior show, "Carnival of Horrors" Carmela actually had long black hair.
The shows' animated intro was designed to be a tribute to "Beetlejuice" the animated series that ran from 1989 to 1991. The prelude to each episode is a loving parody to "Law & Order: SVU" since Hayslett, Maher, and Grillo are all huge fans of the show.
Hayslett has stated that the shooting style of the show was inspired by "The Office" but also inspired by Jim Varney's old commercials as Ernest P. Worrell. The exchanges between Stalker and the cast of the show are reminiscent of Ernest's exchanges with "Vern" where you usually only see Vern's hands.
