"All Thumbs, and Green" was an official selection to the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, 2017.

The short film was nominated for eleven different awards, including Best Short Film, Best Director (short film), Best Screenplay (short film), Juan Ruiz Anchia Award for Best Cinematography (short film), Mary Austin Award for Excellence in Cinematography (short film), Mary Austin Award for Excellence in Producing (short film), Marshall Hawkins Award for Best Musical Score (short film), Best Actor (short film), Best Actress (short film), Best Supporting Actress (short film), Best Ensemble Cast (short film or web series)

The original cut of All Thumbs, and Green was created for the 48 Hour Film Project: Savannah (2016).

After receiving the elements for the 48 Hour Film Project, writer and director, David Harland Rousseau, wrote the first draft of All Thumbs, and Green in 87 minutes.

Even though the team had only 48 hours to create a short film, director David Harland Rousseau insisted that the team abide by set safety rules. The team worked a twelve hour shift with a twelve hour turn-around, ensured meal breaks every six hours, had safety briefings every morning, and secured permits from the City of Savannah.

Because All Thumbs, and Green was created for the 48 Hour Film Project: Savannah, the team had to create a story with the following elements: a character (Norman Loberson, Green Expert), a prop (a flower or flowers), and a line of dialogue ("I wish I knew. I wish I knew."). The genre drawn by the team at the event kick off was romance.
