The DWTS pro, who sustained a calf injury in rehearsal two weeks ago, has been sitting out of the competition and supporting his partner Heather Morris from the sidelines as he heals. News of Chmerkovskiy’s injury was announced Mar. 27 on Good Morning America after DWTS cameras caught it in real time, showing the pro dancer in the middle of a spin with Morris when he cried out in pain and clutched his leg.

It’s hard to believe we are only two weeks into this wonderful adventure.
It seems like I’ve been working for months to break down everything I already knew about dance and ingraining a ballroom frame of mind: hips forward, shoulders back, pinky up, head looking so far over my shoulder I could basically see my left butt cheek … whoa.
I think I really have to make a choice this week.
