This movie was so boring that I started looking at the profiles of the 9 and 10-star reviewers. With maybe one or two exceptions, each of those reviewers had only ever reviewed one movie, ... this one. Obviously, friends, family and those involved with this movie, trying to boost the ratings of what is a terrible waste of time. To be fair, there was an 8 star review whose author had reviewed three whole movies, all of which were written by Schuyler Brumley. Hey Schuyler, any chance that you're horrorfan2019?
I don't have a lot of fun criticizing creative people for having put effort into a movie but, just because there are so many fake positive reviews of this film, just some of the things that bothered me:
The smash cuts to wildlife, which I can only assume were meant to be foreshadowing or metaphors of some type, were also annoying but at least not an exhausted trope.
Tack on an ending that may supposed to be a shocking plot twist but is, in fact, completely incomprehensible and you have maybe threes stars.

- a tired, cliched premise, executed poorly: cabin in the woods; no cell phone reception; car won't start; nameless, faceless, psychopathic killers who have no motivation.
- a horribly paced move, which drags throughout, resulting in me surfing IMDB and writing this review.
- stupid characters, acting in irrational ways, making suicidal decisions.
- fricken' found footage, which is the laziest and most annoying form of movie-making ever invented. Just an excuse for people who have no idea how to properly use a camera. I hate you 'Blair Witch Project' for popularizing this horrible, evil genre.

This felt very much like a several films thrown into one with some strange results.
There is "The Strangers," "Funny Games," "Creep," "13 Cameras," and possibly more. These four films for sure. With that said, there is not a clear storyline from any of these other flicks. There are just a few sprinkles here and a few there but enough to see the similarities.
I didn't outright hate this but it leaves much to be desired. The kills were decent, storyline was "Blah" and it was not acted well enough to really become invested. The acting might be chalked up to some bad character building throughout the script though.
My final thoughts are that it is simply a forgettable film.

Found Footage "The Strangers" without any of the cat and mouse. The home invaders are just not scary. They barely even toy with the cast... and all their dialogue is cringey.
There are a bunch of scenes of a predator cat (I think its cheetah) stalking its prey with classical music played over it interjected into the film. Ooooo so artsy... Why don't you just show us the actual antagonists stalking their prey. All we get is a cut phone line and a car that won't start. I've seen that a hundred times before in much better movies.
I think they were trying to make it more of a character drama, but even that side of things isn't compelling at all.
Oof... and that ending... What a cringe fest.
Actually now that I'm really thinking about it, the whole thing is pretty bad.

When like half the reviews start out telling you this movie is flawed but ambitious you know something is up. Fake reviews, that's what.
This movie is not very good. The masks are stupid and the story is dumb. This home invasion sort of crap has been done better a number of times in the past.
Honestly, it's not worth your time

'They're Inside' (2019)
2/10 🌠🌠 = ABANDON
Why do they keep feeding us these cinematic calamities. The acting, Pace and Storyline was a disaster from start to finish, Complete rubbish is a word I've never used but is absolutely fitting. I really had to fight my emotions to watch it all the way through I was completely UNAMUSED. If creators of horror are going to keep pumping out the same uncreative style of shooting FFF (Found footage films) it has to be imperative that they atleast give us a worthy entertaining storyline that's attached to it. We are so tired of the corny amateur film crew who gets interrupted by wannabe creepy intruders in this case they wear stupid masks that resemble the 'BIG EYES ART PAINTINGS' brandishing steak knives chasing the crew around a secluded cabin in the woods. I really need not say more any twist or turn that's revealed isn't worth you wasting 83 mins. sifting through this trash to see. No I wouldn't reccomend this film to watch I have more fun doing chores around the house atleast it's not a waste of my time. My rating is 2 which urges you to be smart and Abandon this nonsense.

The acting is boring, this movie is boring. So much talking and no pay offs. I usually enjoy these cam style shows but wow this was next level bad. To be honest I lost attention interest around 20 min mark.

Read some reviews on this movie and found it intriguing enough to rent. I really liked the use of found footage. Lead actress was great and helped move the film to its twisted conclusion. Some of the editing could have been tighter but overall a solid first effort.

I watched They're Inside earlier in the week and there are definitely a few things that have stuck with me. At first blush it looks like many other home invasion films. But it isn't. The storyline is unique and the way the movie ends is worth the rental fee alone. On the negative side - it sometimes feels too long, pacing could be better. But overall, a solid effort with a strong script and cast.

Not scary in the least bit and stacked to the rafters with all of the tired horror cliches you can imagine. The acting is clunky but it's the writing that does it all in; the plot opens a couple of interesting backstory items that, had they been properly fleshed-out, might have added some dramatic weight, but these ideas turn out to be unimportant distractions. The ending is bland and wholly unsatisfying. Do yourself a favor and find something else to watch.

The story and many similar plots, were used a thousand times over decades, and probably this movie is one of the worst versions ever.

Dont believe any post above say 4 stars. The movie is aweful. Not believable and just bad. No suprises. It's as if they writers and director tried to rewrite The Strangers to avoid a copywrite lawsuit and failed miserably. You'd be better to just find another movie and pretend this one doesnt exist.

I was trying to find a nice horror/thriller movie to watch and this looked like at good one to watch. The beginning was confusing and then it never followed up and made any sense. This movie included weird and unnecessary footage DEFINITELY not worth your time to watch. I felt dumber and VERY confused after watching this film.

You have a group of 30 somethings making a movie; what could go wrong? There are seemingly woefully long minutes of useless, pointless drivel. The "plot" was all over the place and the climax was boring. Please run, don't walk away from this one.

This movie ain't even scary. It's so slow. I'm getting dizzy and feeling sick because the camera keeps moving. DONT EVEN WATCH IT. ITS NOT EVEN WORTH IT
Failure in every imaginable way. Please do not waste your time or money with this one. Boring and confusing and it didn't make sense throughout every turn. And I gave it a good chance all the way just to have it end with a bitter taste in my throat.

Bravo - finally a thinking man's horror film. Well acted and believe me there are some very creepy characters in this movie. The found footage device worked well and led to some major scares. I don't want to spoil the ending so definitely rent it for a major surprise!

Arriving at a secluded cabin in the woods, a group of friends attempting to film a special film project documenting a beloved moment in her personal life, only to have their personal struggles get pushed to the side when a pair of psychotic strangers invade the shoot looking to have fun with them.
Overall, this one wasn't all that bad. One of the more enjoyable features here is the rather strong setup here that focuses on the stellar invasion done out in the woods. The idea of shooting the documentary at the remote house in the woods through the contest is a fine enough starting point, and with the concept of the footage here being the behind-the-scenes filming of the shoot there's a fun motive for the resulting series of attacks here. This sets up the behind-the-scenes drama as well with the times she states the reasoning for being there at the house and how they're long-buried resentment at the moments that are being recreated on-set gives this a strong start to what's coming to play later in the film. That turns out to be the rather chilling series of surprise ambushes featured by the killer duo. Starting with the initial interruption that is seemingly suspicious but brushed off, it starts to get creepy when added together with their spying on the group from the outside or being there from the very beginning that the group never notices. As well, starting with the opening shots of the freaky killers sneaking up on the personality shooting at the cabin and attacking him shown through the found-footage camera, the home invasion scenes get rather chilling with the full-on attacks that are featured which are non-stop throughout the final half-hour which include multiple chases in the house and outside into the woods that give this a nice life overall. There are a few flaws to be had here. One of the biggest issues is the maddening quality of filming this in the found-footage style which this one completely doesn't need. This one hits nearly every single complaint usually found in found-footage films where it's completely unnecessary to film it in that manner from the very start and just seems to be completely at odds with the type of film they're shooting at the cabin. On top of that, the film also manages to undermine much of the suspense to be found from the stalking in the cabin where this one really could've provided more atmosphere and suspense playing this as a straightforward, traditional genre effort, being one of the rare efforts that would've been better had it stayed as a traditional film. The other big issue here is the film's rather bland pacing that comes into play. The first half here, dominated by so much behind-the-scenes nonsense of the two going through the trials and tribulations of their history together that interfere with the shooting that there's no real interest in this one due to the found-footage aspect to be had here. That also manages to have an effect on the killers here who are absolutely laughable on-screen dressing up in shorts and t-shirts to try to kill people that it's impossible not to laugh at them physically trying to impose their will on others. When the utterly ludicrous finale comes into play that turns this into a wholly ridiculous offering here because the pacing doesn't allow this a chance to do more with them, they end up holding down the film overall.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language, Male Nudity and Graphic Violence.

This film is tired, boring, just not scary. The acting is porn quality if that good, and the plot is non existent. This movie makes no sense! Nothing is explained, and with no character development, there is no reason to feel one way or another about them.
Who finances these things?

...I gave it an extra star for the full frontal male nudity. But that's about all this one has going for it. The main characters aren't compelling and whatever back-story they were trying to tell wasn't interesting enough to even remember. Don't bother, folks. There are many more found footage films that are far superior to this one.
Horrible execution and if someone is being paid for more screen time Karli Hall was terrible and practically butt fked this movie. I can't tell you enough or even process or fathom how to begin warning you how bad this movie is. However, some of the other actors did give a good interest but with every 5 mins showing a bad actor (Karli) it really sinks the ship for the rest of the cast
