R. Christian Anderson in Sugarfoot Photo Shoot (2015)

Trivia

Sugarfoot Photo Shoot

Edit
Except for color-tinted titles, all photographs are sepia-toned versions of the black and white originals. The 1956 photo shoot was by William Banks, who is credited with numerous publicity photos of Hollywood celebrities during the 1950s and 60s.
Despite not getting a role on "Sugarfoot", Christian went on to appear on 2 popular Los Angeles television shows: "Cartoon Express with Engineer Bill" in 1956 and "Art Linkletter's House Party" in 1957.
Auditioned with legendary choreographer Burch Mann to become one of the original "Mouseketeers" on the Disney television show "The Mickey Mouse Club". After testing, Ms. Mann approached Christian's mother and declared "Although your son makes a fine appearance, can act and sing ... he just can't dance". [1955]
From age 3 in 1953, until 1958, Christian lived in Hollywood and performed in live radio commercials on radio station KMPC. His mother, Lita S. Bowman, was a radio personality at the station during that time. In this film, a photograph is shown of Christian standing at the station's Sunset Boulevard entrance.
The photograph of Christian at age 3 in 1953, wearing "blue suede shoes," was taken on Wilshire Boulevard, across the street from the Ambassador Hotel.
