If you've seen Who Killed Captain Alex, you will not be dissatisfied. You will enjoy it for what it's worth. Bad Black is the next film in Wakaliwood's library and it delivers. Like Captain Alex, it's funny, nonsensical, has nonstop action, and the one and only, VJ Emmie. You may notice reoccurring actors from Captain alex, as well as new ones. The plot is hard to follow for me and can sometimes not make sense, but that's the beauty of it. Seeing every weird plot twist, and seeing random directions of the story makes the movie that more enjoyable. It's a little worse than Captain Alex, but it is very enjoyable. I recommend watching it! There is a blu-ray you can buy that contains Bad Black and Captain Alex as well as a bunch of bonus features. You can find it on Amazon and support the creators. Overall, a 7/10.

The story of Wakaliwood is so wholesome. This is a pretty well made and entertaining movie. Has more cohesive story than several blockbuster Hollywood movies. Not to mention the Twitch meta that these movies ended up creating.

At first I thought maybe 8/10 was too high a score, but then remembered that this 70-minute film contains:
- VJ Emmie crushing it and being constantly hilarious
- A bank heist
- A car chase
- Multiple shootouts and fist fights
- A prison break sequence
- A training montage
- Cows!
- A 6-year-old kid nicknamed Wesley Snipes (and sometimes called 'Ugandan Miyagi) who has super strength
- A courtroom sequence
- A token white guy who actually fits in surprisingly well and is pretty damn funny
- Poop humour
- A surprisingly heavy after credits scene that gives a big middle finger to Marvel's tradition of making the after credits scene goofy/fun
- An unexpected shoutout to 24 and an even more unexpected to the fantastic stuntwoman ZOE BELL of all people!!!

Imagine the most bizarre film you can possibly imagine. Now imagine if it was made in a Ugandan slum with no budget. Yes, that is this movie.
"If it's so low quality, why did you give it 10 stars???"
Because this film had my eyes glued to the screen the whole time. Not even the highest budget, best-shot film of all time can claim the ability to keep my 7-second attention span off my phone, but this strange-as-heck film kept my eyes wide and my lungs ready for laughter.
The plot is bizarrely nonlinear, the characters are great, the cinematography is surprisingly okay for it being handheld the whole time, there are more twists than a pretzel, and I would recommend this film to anybody. Plus, my laptop is now adorned with a Wakaliwood sticker, which came with the film.

This film takes a very different style to Who Killed Captain Alex. It follows a long tale with many issues relating to current affairs in Uganda. The CGI has greatly improved from the previous film, with a clearly higher budget than before. VJ Emmie is great as always, and provides necessary commentary throughout the film.
Dont miss the end credits scene

To watch this film is to ascend. It is amazing, fast-paced, funny - the love and effort that was put into this film burns white in every frame. I cannot recommend it enough. The action is genuinely cool, people do flips and jumps for no reason, the sound effects are great, the plot is perfectly anarchic; overall, it really is one of the best movies.

Having started the year with Uganda's first action movie, the ultra low-budget smash hit Who Killed Captain Alex?, there is no better way to wrap this year than by returning to Wakaliwood in order to bring my 2021 journey in film full circle. A powerhouse of unbridled energy & limitless creativity, Bad Black is yet another fun, enjoyable & wholesome delight from the humble artists operating from the slums of Wakaliga.
Written, produced, directed, edited & photographed by Nabwana I. G. G., what excludes his works from the "so bad it's good" category is the actual zest, drive & imagination behind his efforts. Its comparison to a movie like The Room has no merit coz where Tommy Wiseau's disaster had us laughing at his utter incompetency, Nabwana's film has us sharing a laugh with him & his crew but with an admiration for what he pulls off with just $65 budget.
Bad Black features a story that has it all: action, drama, crime, conflict, conspiracy, bizarre twists & more, all presented in a wicked non-linear structure and accompanied by Video Joker Emmie's rib-tickling narration that makes the ride endlessly amusing. As before, the film exudes a genuine sense of joy which allows the love, heart & honesty to shine through in ways that even the best of Hollywood fails to produce most times despite all their money & resources.
Overall, Bad Black makes for a wild, hilarious & rambunctious offering from the self-taught Ugandan filmmaker who makes magic happen with mere scraps of filmmaking tools and gets maximum mileage out of minimal resources. The primary purpose of movies is to entertain, and Bad Black more than delivers on that. A labour of love in all its unadulterated glory, this Wakaliwood epic runs entirely on Nabwana's passion for filmmaking and is as endearing as it is ridiculously entertaining.

Where's the action?
In the beginning and the end.
It has to be spectacular but instead it's just plain old killing.
This is not what I had in mind to Bad Black.

This is one of the best action movies. You can watch it on YouTube (for free). Ramon Film Productions have produced many great films including horror, action, drama, and more. Bad Black is a recommended watch for anyone who likes dedicated action movies. It brings you through many emotions and is based off of a true story.

So yeah, it's new IMDB 7 stars for this 'production' seems like it was made in late 60's, considering a quality and editing, the story is hilarious, this is film for some hardcore Ugandans, other folks won;t be able to watch it:)

Yes I know half the fun is the terrible special effects, the amateurish acting, and the fake guns. But damn it this movie and the actors have HEART! And it exudes all over the screen. The joy they took in making this film is palpable and infectious and the ubiquitous VJ Emmie is as always a treat. It's like watching a fun movie with your best friend.

During, 2016 it was a rough year to find amazing films. The best I got from an outstanding movie was Troll and. Luckily, I was able to stubble across this masterpiece. My eyes pissed tears of pure joy. I was jumping up and down. Everything was outstanding. The acting was amazing, the Characters were likable. And most of all, the action was supreme. It was realistic and great. I can definitely recommend this movie to anyone that is thinking of suicide.

Multiple plots that partially seem completely random, unnecessary and have basically nothing to do with each other. VJ Emmie is at his absolute PEAK in this movie! And the (comparably few) action scenes landed really well, especially the one in the prologue.
It was definetly interesting to see an American actor in a Wakaliwood film, and he did well. He wasn't really necessary to the main plot, but he was cool.
Overall, this movie was a very different experience from Who Killed Captain Alex?, it had way more plot and less action. The writing style was different too, containing multiple plots rather than one plot from different perspectives.
It certainly isn't better than Captain Alex from an overall view (except for VJ Emmie, he was even more hilarious in this one), but it's definetly worth a watch on YouTube or on DVD, if you're a supa action fan.

As in so many follow-up films in the universe, the classic (who killed captain alex) remains the all time favorite. Eventhough I had seen rhe classic, i still can't comprehend and explain what i've just seen.
Wakaliwood never seems to stop amazing me.
Wakaliwood never seems to stop amazing me.
I watched the first 9 minutes and paused the movie long enough to buy a director signed copy from the production companies web site. $10. Bought Captain Alex too, and a patch, all for $25.
This movie is amazing, fun, actin packed, and narrated MST3K style, making it the craziest thing I've seen in a long time. Wildly entertaining, I loved every minute of it.
Will you like it? Well, are you into terrible sets, bad CGI, terrible acting, 84 different plots happening simultaneously, blood shed, unnecessary flips, foul mouthed children, a WIP movie in the middle of an action movie, and all in a little more than 60 minutes? Than you are in luck, cause this movie has all that and more. It really is a good time.
