Film was about to release in mid 2016.But was pushed to 2017 due to editing issues as it had abusive language.
The release date was announced as 12 Jan 2018.It was also speculated that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati would also release on same day after long battle with censor board.Saif Ali Khan had then said that if Padmavati release on same date then he will push his film to another date.
