FND Films made a video in 2014 announcing production of this film, and asked their fans to donate to their Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project. They ended up accumulating $77,900 (the initial budget was intended to be $75,000). For the next two years, very little was mentioned about the project until a video uploaded by FND Films said that due to unspecified complications, the film was forced into cancellation. Fans became upset for the supposed abrupt cancellation and made scathing comments towards FND Films condemning them for what they believed to be a scam. A week later, a trailer for the film was uploaded, in which FND Films scam their fans out of their money and are forced to deal with the consequences of their actions.
