Dean Ambrose has one last chance to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against champion, A.J Styles. While, the rest of the rosters go to the extremes with tables, ladders, and chairs.

AJ Styles in WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs (2016)

TLC 2016 lacks some tender, love and care. It was an awkward show that could had been better.

Being the second WWE pay per view to be held in Dallas, TX, in the same year, besides &#39;WrestleMania 33&#39;, this Smackdown brand show was below standards, compare to other TLC: Tables, Ladders &amp; Chairs chronology events. In my opinion, there was barely anything special with it. The first match, the audience at the American Airlines Center saw, was a preshow match which feature 10-men: Apollo Crews, The Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder), and American Alpha (Chad Gable and Jason Jordan) VS Curt Hawkins, The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor), and The Vaudevillains (Simon Gotch and Aiden English) fighting it out. It was average match that we saw, many times, before on free television on Smackdown Live. It had no stalks, so the results really didn&#39;t matter. Now, the actual pay-per-view event opened with Heath Slater and Rhyno defending the SmackDown Tag Team Championship against The New Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton). Like the previous match, this match was a bit awkward with a lot of botches, as both teams didn&#39;t put much work to make it shine. In the end, it was quick and one-sided. The results were very predictable. This brings us to the next match on the card, which had Nikki Bella faced Carmella in a No Disqualification match. It was a very slow match as it was clear, that Nikki Bella was playing it safe, after return from her neck surgery break since Aug. It was also a very weird match that use no tables, ladders or chairs in a show that supposedly market the use of it. At least, the match could had use a chair, since that was the weapon that was supposedly use by Bella&#39;s attacker in 2016&#39;s &#39;Survivor Series&#39; in the backstage sequence. Carmella giving up, who the attacker in the end of this match was just as predictable as ever. It surprised nobody. It was alright match, but it could had been better, if the ref wasn&#39;t trying to count them out in a NO-Disqualification match. It made the rules of the fight, somewhat befuddling. This brings us to the match in which The Miz has to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Dolph Ziggler in a Ladder match. The match was unique, even if the two men fought each other, a million times before. Why? It&#39;s because, both men were, giving it, all. However, compare to their other matches, this year. It was not 2016&#39;s &#39;No Mercy&#39;. It&#39;s sad that the feud had to end, here, but at least, they close it, with a cool ending, but I could had done with the feud ending at &#39;No Mercy&#39; like it supposed to be. Just wish, WWE cameramen would stop with the awkward shots of fans. They&#39;re missing out on the last reaction of these people. This brings us to the filler matches before the main event, in which Baron Corbin faced Kalisto in a Chairs match &amp; Becky Lynch defends her Women Championship in a Table Match, against Alexis Bliss. First off, the Kallisto vs Baron Corbin build up feud was alright, and the match was at least, somewhat entertaining, even if Kallisto look like a small Mexican Na&#39;vi smurf getting smash in a bed of folded chairs. It probably the best chair match in a long time, despite the late boring reaction from fans and lack of selling from Baron Corbin. It was a match that made both men look good. The table match between the two ladies, did not. If anything, it made both of the Smackdown women look, very weak, compare to their RAW roster, counterparts. In the main event, champion, AJ Styles defended the WWE World Championship against challenger, Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. It was a very physical match, but the striking match was kinda ruin, due to the fact that AJ Styles pant has rip, and part of his buttock was indeed exposed. It was too obvious, not to notice like James Ellsworth being there to interference. Overall: I have to say Smackdown&#39;s &#39;Table, Ladder, and Chairs&#39; PPV was far better ending to the year, than RAW&#39;s &#39;Roadblock: End of the Line&#39; meh PPV, as Smackdown is far better than Raw at using the entire roster and keeping competitors relevant, while Raw is more about using many of its highest-profile pairings in huge focused story. With that said, &#39;Smackdown&#39; need to take the next step, in establish fresh top contenders, if it is, to complete with Raw, come &#39;road to Wrestlemania&#39; season, who is full of establish stars. In the end, while this show was in the right direction. It look like it already exhausted many of its highest-profile pairings. Hope, the next year&#39;s TLC show brings something more unique than what we got here.

WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs

It might be weird that I am giving the Pay per view a 7 out of 10 despite me saying it is just very meh. But I give it a 7 because for the most part I think they pick the right winners for each match and made good decisions so I give it a good 7 for it and it could of been higher if the matches weren&#39;t so very boring except for the last one. The Pay per view was good in general I just don&#39;t find the matches themselves to be very entertaining or exciting in general and that is a disappointment for a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay per view. This could of been a perfect SmackDown Live pay per view if only the matches could of had the more excitement feel to them is all.
