- Gene Siskel: Complicating Douglas's life, the woman who gets the vice president's job is an old flame. She's played by Demi Moore, in another portrayal of a successful woman in business who's an absolute witch.

- Gene Siskel: Incredibly, Moore promptly seduces Douglas in her office on her very first night on the job! This is a totally preposterous scene, no matter how much you like looking at these actors' bodies.
