Pete is super cool and every episode has a great message. I was concerned about Pete not talking all the time at first but the mix of him talking v not talking is actually perfect to let kids use their imagination to put themselves in his place or imagine, etc.
Easily on of the best show for kids. Always showing positivity and good vibe. I love the way Pete is a good friend and always do the right thing, this is why I think every kid should watch this show.
My son and I have watched this episode multiple times. I hope new ones come soon because my son is constantly asking to watch it again.
This was my childhood. I came back to revisit it, and I spotted some akward stuff along the way.
The animation is pretty good. I love the colors! They are like paint and electronic art combined! I also like Emma. She was my favorite character! But then, strange things started to come to her...
One day, when I was watching a Pete the Cat episode, while Emma was talking, my sister told me she has a fake-French accent when she's supposed to be French-Canadian. Now I think she needs a new voice actress instead of some random white teenager from Calofornia.
And, when I was younger, my mum (I'm not British I just like saying mum) told me that all of us had fears, but the show told me that you have to be scared to be brave. Maybe both of them are right.
And the weirdest thing is......... GRUMPY'S MUM FEEDS BABY TADPOLE MILK INSTEAD OF ALGAE!!! DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT A REPTILE IS?! (no offense! ^^)
This show isn't bad, it just needs more improvements. I also have a Reddit post featuring weird Pete the Cat things I spotted. It's in r/DanielTigerConspiracy.

I absolutely love the show, but I often feel frustrated for Grumpy. As a neurodivergent person, he really resonates with me and comes across as autistic in many ways. His behaviors-like being resistant to change, his bluntness, or his hesitations around new experiences-are traits often associated with neurodivergence. Yet, while other characters have their quirks and differences recognized, celebrated, or at least understood, Grumpy frequently ends up on the receiving end of anger or frustration from those around him.
I'm not saying his actions are always ideal-he definitely has moments where he could handle things better. But I feel like there's a lack of acknowledgment of why he behaves the way he does, and it would mean so much to see a little more compassion or effort to understand people with invisibledisabilities. It's hard not to wish for a storyline or moment that dives deeper into his perspective, exploring why he struggles with certain things and showing others offering him the patience and empathy he deserves. It could be such a powerful message, not just for Grumpy, but for anyone who relates to him.
