Sure, I will admit that I was lured in by this 2019 movie's cover, as it was something unique and actually looked rather interesting. Had I heard about this 2019 movie prior to watching it in 2021? No. Would it have made a difference if I had? No. I like to watch movies that I haven't already seen, and as I was given the chance to sit down to watch "Monster Force Zero", of course I did so.
And while "Monster Force Zero" wasn't exactly a blockbuster movie with a budget high enough to sustain a small country for a handful of years, then it was actually a movie that was made by people that were committed to making a movie, and it was something that felt like it was a fun project to be part of.
However, I have to say that the storyline in "Monster Force Zero" was just a bit too bland and mundane for my liking. Sure, I managed to sit through the entire movie, but I was only mildly entertained by what transpired on the screen, I can't really claim to have been overly impressed with what writers Tyson Kroening, Nathan Letteer and Michele Pacitto came up with.
The acting in the movie was adequate enough, taking into consideration the type of movie this was. And again, I will say that it definitely felt like the people involved in acting in the movie had fun doing so and being part of the movie. Dalena Nguyen, playing Kadabra Couture, totally stole the light here in the movie with her performance, and of course she also had the most interesting of characters to portray, so that helped.
Visually then "Monster Force Zero" wasn't all that bad. Sure, this is not a CGI extravaganza that will blow you again, but the special effects and CGI were actually functioning well enough for their purposes. And I will say that the effects in the movie definitely had a charm to it - that unique low budget charm - but it actually worked in favor of the movie here.
I do believe that a movie such as "Monster Force Zero" is bound to gain a large following, especially because it is nerdy and geeky enough to be pleasing to a certain group of sci-fi aficionados out there.
My rating of director Nathan Letteer's 2019 sci-fi movie lands on a four out of ten stars. It wasn't an overly bad movie, I just didn't find much of any entertainment in the storyline.

There's a long tradition of SF and comics fan movies, and this is a good example in both senses - in a way typical, and in another way one of the better efforts. Filmed in part at an actual comic con with amateur cosplayers, Monster Force Zero is a group of friends who attend in costume to promote their new comic, Monster Force Zero. It's not a spoiler to reveal that aliens select them to be given real powers based on their costumes and send them off to save the galaxy. Although the budget is low, the cast and crew are quite inventive in making the most of it. There's a lot of charm and fun. This movie should be a staple at comic cons for years to come. I strongly recommend seeing it with friends; it's the kind of movie that is greatly enhanced by the group enjoying it together.
Fun, hyper realized LARP.
Every cosplayers dream realized, à la "The Last Starfighter", with a AMC Pacer instead of a gunship and more entertaining.
Appeared to be made with love for the conventions, the cosplayers, and the geek community as a whole.

This is one seriously fantastic scifi movie. i was swept away by it, it's much better than avengers. it has it all action, scenery, drama, humor, suspense. the effects are more than superb and well written 10/10
Woooah! You talking about awful..This is that! I was 50 minutes into this movie and still didn't understand more than I read off WiKi plot summary. The cinematography is is made with camera from 1980s or home cam recorder . Half of characters don't make any sense or have a purpose in the movie. Finally I seen better acting in Tik Tok videos.
