On 21st January 2021, Two Rivers Media and Chateau TV announced a major 2-year deal with Channel 4 Television to supply new programming under the "Chateau" brand. The commissioning deal comprises of two 8-episode series of Escape to the Chateau (i.e. Series 8 & 9), a recommission of spin-off show Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend and a third brand new programme featuring Dick and Angel Strawbridge that is currently in development.
