This is as funny as an autopsy
as graphic and as funny as I would imagine a public beheading to be.This special made me want to spend the entire day outside. She represents everything that America has to flush down the toilet in the morning. This is not humor, its more like sacrificing your brain.
Probably for the fans but refreshingly different
I'm probably a psycho, weirdo, loner or whatever but I enjoyed this. Maria Bamford's comedy focuses on mental health issues so it's probably an acquired taste anyway and I don't think the humour could work unless you can associate with the 'stream of thought' she's in.
The show goes from her performing her routine alone in the mirror to a full theater audience (well partially), which made me feel like I shared a personal journey, well sort of, not sure if that was the intention - or if it matters really. I'm also a fan of 'Lady Dynamite' too so that may influence my opinion.
Ten years ago Christopher Hitchins famously said women 'aren't funny' but don't think he'd seen Maria Bamford perform.

I freaking love Maria Bamford
This comedy special is rapid fire, bizarre, so relatable, entertaining, refreshing and wonderfully weird. Maria Bamford has an amazing gift for smart quirky comedy and impressions She can whip from one topic to another with amazing speed and intelligence. It doesn't let up for even a second and it is a wildly entertaining ride! Maria Bamford speaks right to my soul. Go watch it right now!
Too Weird
Too weird for me. Lots of strange voices, movements and gestures. The jokes aren't that good and the audience laughing seems forced. It is also quite creepy sometimes. That might be intentional, but, it is not what I'm looking for in a comedy show. I give it 3, because, it is put together in quite an original way. I have seen worse, but, it's not good.
Hit and Miss....Mainly Hits.
Old Baby is an interesting way to watch a stand-up routine. There are moments when her bits don't land with me....or the audience, however, it's surprisingly fun to watch her relish those awkward moments.
I had a smile on my face throughout most of this special and there were multiple times where I was laughing, pretty uncontrollably.
It's not for everyone however, it is for me.
