Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, and Cassandra Scerbo in Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (2017)

Trivia

Sharknado 5: Global Swarming

Edit
Aired two weeks after the death of John Heard, who co-starred in the first film. An "In Memory Of" tribute is featured at the end.
The Tele 5 anchors are played by Oliver Kalkofe and Peter Rütten, the hosts of the German show The Worst Movies of All Time (2013) (The Worst Movies of all Time), in which they show and comment on bad movies (they have presented every Sharknado movie and are one of of the reasons for the success of the films in Germany). Both previously had a cameo in Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! (2015) as rollercoaster riders. Additionally, Oliver Kalkofe's colleagues Dietmar Wischmeyer (cabaret artist) and Oliver Welke (host of heute-show (2009), writer on Kalkofe's Wixxer movies) also have a cameo.
(at around 6 mins) When Fin and Nova are exploring Stonehenge, props from Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) are seen (the skull mask and a Silver Shamrock Novelties logo badge). In Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982), Stonehenge was used as power for the villain of the film's plot. In this movie, the two items are seen very briefly laying on the ground within the first several minutes of the film, when the two characters, Fin and Nova, are deep within the caverns of Stonehenge. A keen eye is needed to catch this, if not, this very minuscule detail will be missed.
(at around 39 mins) The Australian news anchors use the lines "You better run. You better take cover" from the chorus of 'Down Under' by Men at Work.
The only Sharknado to not say "Fin" before the end credits.
