Can Hope die last if its undead?

No pun intended obviously. Short movies rely on a number of things - a good basic idea is one of the most essential things it can have. And I would say this one has a solid one to say the least. Of course you have to like horror movies - not because of references (in a sense it also does hint at romantic movies ... slightly), but because of the violence and the make up effects.

It's quite lyrical and it has a certain quality to it, that you may not expect in horror movies. Of course suspension of disbelief is very important - hitting the mark and then missing it! Am I referring to the movie or something else? Well - although to be fair, it is easier to hit something that is not hitting back (or moving for that matter) ... still ... also you may not agree with that ... well choice! But as a short movie you have to go out there ... you have to be bold enough to do stuff, that you might not see in feature length movies ... decent to say the least, with the last scene breaking the fourth wall... I know the sentiment ... relieving some stress, having a bit of fun ... why not.

Well done overall.

slice of near reality in parable package

More than a short horror, a smart crafted parable about cruelty -especially kids-, frustrations, peripheric social position and , after patience , in critic moment, the violent reaction.

This fair dose of realism makes Hope more than interesting, not ignoring make up, romance, cinematography and nice crafted story.

In short, a slice from near realitz, all the characters being more than familiar, and the effort of lonely guy to ignore the violence and cruelty of the others against him.

Few powerful scenes , inspired end and a sort of warning about details defining near reality.

So, surprising good , useful for message, short film.
