Filming began in 1995 with the three main actors. During filming, which took place in the heat of summer, a few unforeseen things happened. Among other things, several rolls of film disappeared without a trace and the small house was plagued by an insect infestation. As a result, the film could not be completed straight away. Until 2009, scenes were repeatedly re-shot, especially the special effects. Then the post-production began, which took another year. On the advice of the director's family, two more scenes were also temporarily re-shot. The film was finally completely finished in 2010
Shinichi Fukazawa used his parents' house for filming.
