What an amazing martial art comedy movie..if you are looking for some cool stuff to watch than watch this..
Loved this movie, I have always loved martial arts movies. Never been a fan of musicals but the way Johnny Wu The Director combines comedy and musical is made me a fan. It was just a refreshing feel good movie. Jason the lead was phenomenal embodying the role.
The story, acting, direction is nopnotch.
There is so much you can relate to..
If you are looking for some awesome martial art and comedy movie than it's time to watch this masterpiece
When you watch this movie, you can relate it with yourself and people around you..in life you have to go though from pain to become something..in short a movie worth watching
Well, granted, I wasn't really expecting much from this 2018 movie that is listed as an action comedy musical. I mean, musical and martial arts, doesn't really sound like a killer combo. But hey, I opted to give writers Johnny K. Wu and Kyle Znamenak a fair chance and sat down to watch "Innerself".
But wow, this movie was a train wreck. It was utter rubbish. Every alarm bell that goes off at the back of your mind when you think musical and martial arts, listen to them. For the love of all that is good, listen to them. This movie is exactly as horrible as you would expect it to be. Believe you me.
The songs in the movie are delivered with as much confidence as gusto as a snowballs chance in Hell. Sure, it adds some level of fun to the movie, as it is so cringeworthy bad to witness and listen to. But no, it just doesn't work, not on any level, no matter how you look at it or approach it.
The acting performances in "Innerself" were bland and mediocre for the most parts, so you're not even in for watching any actors or actresses making it bearable to suffer through those horrible and awkward songs.
Save yourself the misery and stay well clear of this 2018 action comedy musical.
My rating of "Innerself" lands on a generous one out of ten stars.
