Cameron Gilliam, Rachel Schrey, Jerrold Edwards, and Bethany Davenport in Summer of '67 (2018)

Trivia

Summer of '67

Edit
Summer of '67 is based on the USS Forrestal fire. Writer/director Sharon Wilharm's father was on the USS Forrestal when it caught fire.
Three weeks before filming, lead actress Rachel Schrey was diagnosed with breast cancer. She worked her surgery around filming. She had her surgery and was on set the next week. After filming, she started a blog to share her experience.
Two of the supporting actors, Jeff Lester and Jesica Womack suffer from MS.
Fred Wilharm is a lifetime lover of old cars and tries to include as many vintage cars as possible in each of his films. Peter's red Thunderbird and Van's VW bus were his personal vehicles. Local car clubs provided the rest of the vintage cars.
Sam Brooks had never driven a stick shift prior to filming. It took practice, but the entire cast and crew applauded when he was able to successfully drive the VW bus down the street.
