Quotes

Trolls World Tour

Edit
  • Branch: [as a rock zombie] Who wants to get tattoos everywhere except our faces in case we need to get office jobs!
  • Poppy: We are really different.
  • Branch: So different.
  • Poppy: Completely out of harmony.
  • Branch: Completely.
  • Poppy: I don't even know why we're friends!
  • Branch: Neither do I!
  • [Branch starts to walk away, then hesitates]
  • Branch: [sadly] So... why do I care about you more than anybody else in the world? Weird, right?
  • Poppy: In the beginning, we were divided. Our ancestors thought we were just too different to get along. It turns out they were wrong. Very, very wrong.
  • Scrapbook Troll: We're sorry!
  • Poppy: You have to be able to listen to other voices, even when they don't agree with you. They make us stronger, more creative, more inspired. So whether your song is sad and heartfelt, loud and defiant, or warm and funky, or even if you're a little bit of each, it's all these sounds and all our differences that make our world a richer place. Because you can't harmonize alone.
  • Poppy: I can make it right. History's just gonna keep repeating itself until we make everyone realize that we're all the same.
  • King Quincy: But we're not all the same.
  • Queen Essence: It's why all our strings are different. Because they reflect our different music.
  • King Quincy: Denying our differences is denying the truth of who we are.
  • Prince D: Next morning, the elders were on me. They saw the warning signs, couldn't ignore it. Had to figure out how to save the way of life they had made So they made a play. The Pop Trolls were comin' for it all, All for one and one for all. So the only way we saw, how we saw it It was one thing left to be done. Each leader grabbed a single string and said, "Run!"
  • Bridget: I think we missed the party, Gris!
  • King Gristle: Oh, balls!
  • Bridget: Gris!
  • King Gristle: ....but who's going to eat my cheese balls?
  • Prince D: We started off a team Party 'til we fall asleep. Even on the street, when we disagreed We did it on beat. Respect the unique, anything less if it's was weak. The music of the strings made life complete. 'Til that one day that changed everything. The Pop Trolls started snatchin' up all of the strings. Put the melodies on top of poppy lil' beats. They cut us out of the scene And then forgot what it really means. Shoulda seen between all of the scheming It seems like the Trolls they stole from were meaningless, Walkin' around like they were the geniuses But it's only samples, autotune and remixes.
  • Barb: I'm gonna destroy all music, EXCEPT FOR ROCK!
