The couple is adorable and the budget is much more realistic than other shows. I also like that they do their own shopping and shop on clearance. The end results are fun and colorful.
If this is supposed to serve as a replacement, what a poor excuse they've given up. If this is the sort of show HGTV is pushing, they've lost one more viewer. Even I could do a better job than them, at renovating a home. This is a plastic caricature of the previous cast, with nothing interesting or original at all. Not worth the time to watch. I highly recommend finding something else to do.
I'm reading the bad reviews on flip or flop vegas, and i don't get it. these people are trashing aubrey's designs - "too vegas glam" or "too kitchy" or "too specific". but, essentially, all of the flips for which she designs are sold at list price - or above - within hours or days of listing. gotta give it to her that she knows her real estate. THIS IS VEGAS people. she sold a completely gold condo on the strip above list. she sold the "blush" flip within hours, as well. this is not waco, texas, people. vegas is one of the hottest real estate markets in the usa. give her credit for knowing her market well.
as for her voice - ha - it's pretty whiney. but, that's her voice. get over it. and bristol actually does the construction. he builds custom items - saving them money. they construct their own cabinets - saving them money. what, exactly, does tarek do? and flip or flop with t&c has become so scripted and predictable. ugh. how many more times do i have to watch tarek balk at the cost of chrstina's designs? only to agree, and concede in the end.
flip or flop vegas is refreshing. and aubrey and bristol provide relief from the off screen drama of the original t&c. personally, i can't watch them anymore.
I can't believe all the negative reviews!! I'm a Flip or Flop fan, and Tarek and Christina are a tough act to follow, but I enjoy Aubrey and Bristol. I like Aubrey's designs and like Christina, she's so confident in her design choices. Tarek and Bristol are lucky guys! I'll be watching Flip or Flop Vegas every week.
I don't disagree that Aubrey's voice is a little high pitched but it's her voice...not like she can change it. I like the fact that this show is not as fake and scripted as Tarek and Christina have come to be. Christina's direct talking to cameras is always so stiff and obvious she is reading form a card. Aubrey designs for the buyers in Vegas. It may not be your taste but she gets good feedback from Realtors and sells houses. Some of her designs are a bit much for anywhere else but again...this is VEGAS!! I believe she knows more about costs and materials and the renovation budgets just seem ridiculous because people are used to watching Tarek and Christina spend 60K on every house. Once again it is a market difference. All these people hating on the show don't seem to understand that difference. Anyway, please HGTV don't ruin the show by making the silly scripted moments like people dropping granite counters and bathtubs "Oh My!" Or cars getting stolen from in front of the house like on Flip or Flop original. As for them not putting their kids on the show, that is a responsible parenting decision and I fully support them. How well has the limelight worked out for Tarek and Christina???? Maybe these two actually have a clue about how to handle things and people just cant stand there isn't more drama. I, for one, prefer to watch a nice 30 minutes of a house coming to life without all the BS drama and fake stuff. Keep it up Aubrey and Bristol! You are fun to watch.
