"Menopause" was the film's working title during development). It changed to "Pause" once the film went into production.
During development, the film was selected in two co-production workshops, Mannheim Meeting Place 2015 (Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film Festival), and Connecting Cottbus 2015 (Cottbus International Film Festival). It was also selected for the Karlovy Vary Works in progress 2017 (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival)
