In 1998 Christer Pettersson contacted Mårten Palme. Pettersson suggested a meeting. He wanted to confess the murder of his father, Olof Palme. The meeting never took place.
Late at night, in February 28th, 1986, after having watched the Swedish film "Bröderna Mozart" (1986) at the cinema Grand, Lisbet and Olof' Palme was walking hand in hand, on Sveavägen i Stockholm, when a man came up to them asking if he was Olof Palme. Olof said yes, and then the man shot him both in his spinal cord in the neck and in his head. Every one of those bullets would have killed him. He also shot Lisbet in her soft part of her shoulder with one bullet and then he ran away.
The documentary reflects Christer Pettersson's past as well as his everyday life, spending time with his girlfriend Anki Sjöberg, meeting his old drama teacher Maj Samzelius at Calle Flygare theatre school, visiting the scene of the murder of Olof Palme, plus goofing and drinking with his buddies.
