Roisin Conaty in GameFace (2017)

Trivia

GameFace

Edit
On 8th June 2018, Channel 4 announced that it had commissioned a second 6-episode series of Roisin Conaty's self-penned sitcom. The first series was the most successful comedy launch on E4 since 2013. Series two will go into production in February 2019 for broadcast later that year - however the second series will be broadcast on Channel 4.
On Tuesday, 14th November 2020, Channel 4 Television announced that it has declined the opportunity to commission a third series of the award-winning sitcom. A spokesperson for the channel said, "We were hugely proud to air two series of the game changing GameFace; Roisin deserves so much credit for paving the way in modern female led comedy. The time felt right to draw a line and we've decided not to return to Marcella's wonderfully chaotic life, but hope to work with Roisin again on something new."
Started life as a series of three comedy shorts as part of Channel 4's "Comedy Blaps" strand of comedy shorts. The shorts were published online on 11th April 2014. The shorts were considered so successful that a TV pilot episode was commissioned as part of the channel's 4Funnies pilot strand. The pilot proved successful leading to a first series airing on Channel 4's youth orientated channel E4 in October 2017. The second series aired on the British broadcaster's flagship channel during July and August 2019.
