As an Aussie I'm probably going to be biased here. The best season yet of Gold Rush: Parker's Trail. You see lots of gold and mining, what more can you ask from a show about gold mining? The diversity of mining techniques is interesting in itself, and some are seriously dangerous.
You can tell Parker has a thing for Tyler and vice versa, nothing like a little romance in the outback.
I've seen the Super Pit first hand, and it's big, you can't really appreciate its size, you can't wrap your head around how deep it is, the trucks are so small, yet you know a wheel is twice the height of an average bloke. Just wow!
The season is a little patchy, but there's enough to make it worth your while.

Parker is undoubtedly a talented and driven guy. But, man is it difficult to watch his mood roller coaster sometimes. His colleagues all seem like good guys, but it is uncomfortable to watch Parker moan and generally behave atrociously to towards his friends. Why do I want to tune in to watch someone constantly be rude to those around him? Obviously this is a challenging undertaking for the team, but I don't see the rest of the expedition spiralling down into a dark funk of utter bummedoutedness. Maybe he'll chill on series 2!?
A lot of effort and planning has gone into making this programme to make it work logistically. It's a shame it doesn't live up to its potential. I'm a big fan of the gold rush series, I think they work because most of the characters are as interesting as watching the gold come out of the ground. This is where this series fails for me, Parker is true to himself, I don't feel like he's playing to the cameras he's pretty dry and quite moody at times but I accept him for who he is and quite like him. Tyler's an ok addition although I think she lacks a bit of presence and personality to carry of her roll. I can't workout why Wow check out the sluice Dan is almost carrying the production or seemingly so. It doesnt work for me at all, either shoot shots and shut up or get rid of him, he's incredibly irritating to watch. Could be so much better with a bit less drama and less cheese. Ok if you don't feel like using your brain too much on a Sunday afternoon.
Out of 10 espisodes 3 were literally throwaways. if you don't have enough content to fill 10 episodes you should have just stuck with 6. watching this 3rd season was a pain. it's like some poorly planned travel show.
Interesting and fun to see gold mining and travel.
Annoying as hell having to constantly look at the photographers face
Definitely made-for-TV bs at times.
