After decades , the feeling than Madonna represents a fascinating form of liberty ( normal for a kid under ceausescu regime ) , continues to work for the adult who I am. And Vogue is a good kick to remind this. Because it offers pretty much. It is a form of hommage to old Hollywood quasi mythical figures. It reminds the need of courage to be yourself. It suggest the dance as cure against reserves about yourself. Not last, offers significant crumbs of sensuality and drops of aristocratic life style.
And this remind of force and meaning of glamour as food for dreams and as kick to define yourself out of fears circle is a precious gift.
Not being a real music lover, I preffer the stories. In this case, exactly the story is fascinating and pretty encourageous.

You can not listen to vogue without conjuring up the images of the video in your head. Effortlessly cool, Madonna at the height of her fame and beauty. Important to remember that in 1990 Aids was spreading fear through the world and the stigma for being gay was at an all time high. Madonna proved to be a major ally, pushing gay culture front and centre stage and also using main protagonists who developed vogueing on the New York gay underground scene. The middle eight name drop of the actors from the golden age of Hollywood is just genius and adds to the imagery of the song and video. Perfection!
