A Clear Felling (2018)

Trivia

A Clear Felling

Edit
The film was financed partly through a crowdfunding that covered nearly a quarter of the film's total budget.
Director Max Gleschinski was 22 years old when he wrote the screenplay for 'Kahlschlag'. At the time of shooting he was 23 years old. When Max was 24, the film won the renowned 'German Cinema New Talent Award' at the Hof International Film Festival where it premiered.
Producer/cinematographer Jean-Pierre Meyer-Gehrke met editor Marco Zanoni on their first feature film gig in 2015 - 'Hollywoodtürke'. Zanoni then did the color grading for a short film by Meyer-Gehrke and director Max Gleschinski in 2016. Zanoni already became a part of 'Kahlschlag' during the writing process, where he advised the screenplay. Ironically 'Hollywoodtürke' was finished later than 'Kahlschlag'.
The film was shot over the course of 5 weeks with a crew of 12 to 25 people.
Leading actor Florian Bartholomäi did the choreography for all the fight scenes throughout the film.
