Kevin Singh wrote the script while on holiday with his family in Port St Johns. He took two and a half weeks to write the script.
Despite the film set in Texas in 1985 and Iraq in 1991 during the desert storm period. The films budget was 13 400 US dollars making one of the hardest Microbudget films ever made.
To add to the discomfort.For the desert scenes there was no tent for the actors or crew. Making getting sunburnt a common thing.
