At the time the film was produced, the studio that animated the original series, Jam Filled Entertainment, was preoccupied with other projects and therefore could not work on the film. As a result, the film was animated by a different company called Top Draw Animation.
Despite the film being a Nickelodeon production, Paramount Pictures does not own the distribution rights to the film and therefore cannot release it on Paramount+; the distribution rights lie exclusively with Netflix.
No one has answered this question yet.
Although Dave Needham has confirmed that the movie is canon to the show, taking place between Seasons 4 and 5 (essentially overriding a prior statement by Chris Savino that it was non-canon, since he got fired from Nickelodeon and lost all creative control before the film entered production), the show's crew is legally forbidden to make explicit references to it. This is because Nickelodeon signed a five-year exclusivity contract with the film's distributor, Netflix, that forbids them to make any references to the movie until the term expires five years post-release. (It should be noted that the term is not fully exclusive, though, as the movie was allowed to be referenced in video games made by non-Paramount affiliated companies, such as Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 (2023), which features the Loud Castle as a stage.)
