This is Samantha MacAdam's film directorial debut. She shot the film while on maternity leave with her first child. The film was shot entirely at her home.
"Prom Night", was a top 5 finalist in Kevin Hart's LOL Network film competition. It was the only Canadian film in the top 5 and with a solo female writer and director.
