There was originally going to be a graphic sex scene included in the movie, but the director opted to exclude it from the final product as he was disturbed by the what the actress performing the scene commented prior to filming. The comment was "I want this to be a genuine scene, and for the actor I am supposedly having sex with to put it in as much and as hard as possible to the extent that my vagina can start bleeding".
The song played when Dax bumps into the phonograph is called Cross My Heart and Hope to Die by Ada Jones. The song is from 1917.
The estate is located in Lexington, KY. The interior was empty upon the arrival of the production crew. Furniture, Decor and Artwork was rented by the Art Department through local sources and vendors. The Meadowcrest Mansion was later demolished in February, 2022.
