I liked Goosebumps, it was like Tales From The Crypt for kids and I've always been drawn to that kind of thing. Whether books or the TV series I've always had a slight soft spot for it so it was inevitable I was eventually going to give the video game a shot.
In this point and click adventure you'll travel around your creepy town finding a way to stop lunatic Slappy the ventriloquist's dummy. Essentially a pick items up, travel to correct place to use it, rinse, wash, repeat but it does it in a competent enough manner.
You can die, and the puzzles aren't even that easy so there is a degree of challenge. Trouble is that the game is so damn short and can be completed in just a couple of hours.
By modern video game standards that's not acceptable, in modern video games it can take you that to do a ruddy tutorial! Including plant man, evil slime, robot security guard, a psychotic toy robot, a sneaky witch, giant were-mouse....thing and of course Slappy who is scarier than Chucky has been in the last few Childs Play movies this is a playable yet forgettable effort.
I like point and click adventures so I may be a bit bias and forgiving it for all it's flaws a little too easily but I grew up with them so sue me. Actually scratch that, don't sue me as I have no money already. I have cookies however and am willing to share.
