A former abominable snowman animatronic from Disneyland Park's Matterhorn attraction (known by guests as "Harold") is on display in the queue of "Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!" after retiring from the Matterhorn attraction in 2015 to make room for an updated replacement figure. He can be seen in the maintenance room before preparing to board the gantry lift sitting on a platform in the far left corner.
Howard the Duck can be briefly seen in the pre-ride videos. You can see his shadow in a cage hanging up behind the Collector.
To the far right of "Harold" is the octopus from the Country Bear Jamboree show.
Zoe Saldana (Gamora) also stars in James Cameron's Avatar. Disney's Animal Kingdom park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida opened a new themed land called "Pandora - The World of Avatar" which is inspired by the motion picture and also had its grand opening May 27, 2017 along with "Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout!" at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA.
