"The Pefumist" was created at The New York Film Academy as the directors' final thesis.
"The Perfumist" has been screened at 20 film festivals, in the US and abroad, including The Venice Film Festival Student Showcase in Italy, and The Winter Film Awards in NYC.
The four directors hail from four different countries: Brazil, Argentina, South Korea, and Japan, and worked together in New York City. Despite any cultural differences, they came together in their shared love of story-telling and animation.
While "The Perfumist" was the first screened film for three of the four directors, Shannon S. Lee created the 3D animated short "Beauty Sacrifice". This short was screened and awarded at multiple festivals in the United States.
During production, the directors spent so much time together, they were nicknamed "The Fab Four".
