-The lead role in the show (Kyra Glen) is played by Australia-based young actress Kimie Tsukakoshi, born in Sydney to a Singapore-Chinese mother and Japanese father.
On-screen elf brother and sister, Imogen and Darra, are played by off-screen real life Cairns siblings Elizabeth and Julian Cullen. The young Aussie brother and sister auditioned separately and originally weren't supposed to be related in the show. Both of them are finishing their studies at Bond University for Film and Television on the Gold Coast, Australia.
