Believe Me (2017)

Believe Me

Edit
This film was made entirely over the weekend of July 14 through 16, 2017.
Pearce's line about "being in town to shoot Turn" was added for the premiere's Richmond audience, as Turn is shot in and around Richmond, VA.
The story was derived from Aesop's fable "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," and so some of the working titles included "What the Flock?" and assorted variants of "Flocking" before the final title was decided.
In addition to the protagonist's name being "Shepherd," you can briefly see the letter he shows the others is from "Wolfe Extermination."
The main office location was graciously provided by a production company whose owners were out of town for a wedding. When entering the location, the security alarm went off. The alarm was tied to a door sensor, so the crew decided to shoot the conference room scene first rather than begin with the exterior shots. Then, when Shepherd's blocking was set to include a run down the stairs, a second motion alarm was discovered on the stairway. The owners were eventually contacted and both the shoot and the wedding continued uninterrupted.
